Marin Sanitary and iReuse Partner to Reach Zero Waste
Marin Sanitary Service already offers commercial waste collection and recycling services to apartments and businesses in The City of San Rafael, Las Gallinas Valley Sanitary District, City of Larkspur, Town of Ross, Ross Valley Sanitary District, and certain sections of the unincorporated area surrounding San Rafael. In addition to pick-up, Marin Sanitary Service provides custom services including document shredding and debris box rental. Marin Sanitary is now furthering its efforts to reach zero waste by partnering with iReuse.
iReuse works to reduce waste by donating or selling reusable materials and recycling remaining items. For donated items, they provide clients with tax-deductible receipts. Just like Marin Sanitary, the dump is their last resort. To date, iReuse has facilitated the reuse of approximately 1.9 million pounds of materials. Most of these reused items have been donated to hundreds of local charities and schools.
